I posted a thread with this incident. Just look for MK7 vs A3 here on these forums. He thought his 1.8T A3 was fast. He was emasculated in front of his girlfriend and he attempted to showcase the small amount of dignity he had left. It was the only time I've ever experienced someone using violence as a method to coping with losing.

Ah yeah I used to read every single post in this forum, I remember that. What a douche.

The MK7 GTI JB1 driver told me he had an intake (don't know which) and an AWE Touring Exhaust. He did not have a downpipe.

oh wow no dp? makes me wonder if jb4+dp would be equivalent to stage 1 apr or even stage 2 apr/uni

Wow, so many people are so salty after loosing. I've only had one experience with a race against a Chrysler 300. It was spontaneous with no honks, but fair starts and I utterly walked him. His response was "That's a fast little car you have there!", then after a second race with the same result we smiled and gave each other a thumbs up before going our separate ways.

I participated in a dyno day, there was an apr stage1 with boost pipes that put down 292/362
My jb4 map2 intake, catted downpipe, turbo inlet, put down 297/335. I’m gonna guess with some tweaking you could get the tq numbers a little closer.

Jesus that's incredible! I'm on a map 6 tune and getting my catless downpipe next month so it makes me optimistic about my future runs.

I have apr stage 2, TBE, open intake.

He’s coming over for me to install a Vibrant resonator in his stock catback so we’ll soon have an answer to the JB4 vs APR debate.

His car is a sport and mines an S, so no extra weight from leather seats or sunroof to throw the weight advantage one way or the other

For what it’s worth when I was stage 1 my car trapped 109.89 at Zmax at an unprepared test n tune. Also trapped 111 consistently during the roll racing event there (Street Car takeover)

Just make sure you guys start your pull from 4k+, he has it turned down under there for clutch preservation.

JB4 always falls a little short of a stage 2 on the gti. I think it has to do with it working off of a tricked stock tune designed for low end. Flash tunes are able to adjust the timing advance and the vvti. Alex on here and Facebook pushed the JB4 about as far as it could go. He had Meth, e40, intercooler, about every bolt on possible and a shit ton of weight reduction. He was running about the same trap as an APR stage 2. He was at higher altitude, but I still think the JB4 on the gti hits a wall at a certain point. The golf R and the 1.8 don't have this issue. The R can hang with flash tunes and the 1.8 can actually surpass them on the JB4.
