Should be interesting with Michelin coming out with the PS4S.
Looks like plenty of sizes available too. I know plenty of guys looking to get the most rubber they can on their cars. The 245/35-18 will be a great tire size for the GTI.

255/35 will fit with the right wheels

Looks like an americanized version of the Conti SportContact 6,
which is available (in 19" to 22") for two or three years (in ROW).
Don't think they plan on selling that ECS in Europe but in NA only.

Thinking this is the replacement for my Extreme Contact DWs. Maybe by next Black Friday I'll need tires again, and these will have an awesome sale like the DWs. $380 OTD was the cheapest I paid for 4 tires mounted and balanced in 11 years.

you know this thread kills me!

i would like to support conti.. and i will be there for the good! race at daytona on friday. the conti series sports car blah blah.

i would love to pay money to run conti tires on track.. but they dont make a hpde track tire.

someone explain that to me.. i will be asking that question again next friday..

conti makes great tires, but they do not make a single tire that is above a novice hpde usable.

stupid, just stupid.

just ordered my last set of mich pss, before i go back to the land of 200 tw tires..

This one is supposed to be more aggressive and track tested, but to your point, it's still not a 200 WR track tire. I would think they'd have something in that range with all their racing support.

wow,

super terrific links,

but i am not in the uk, and the other is a 80 tw tire.. not really what we are talking about here..

i did happen to be at the conti tire series race at daytona today.. and did drop by and ask the question about a 200 tw competitor.

i was pointed to the new

http://www.continentaltire.com/product/extremecontact-sport-20550zr15-86w

saw the tire in real life. looks like a pss clone. but stuck my finger in it, it was soft..

he also mentioned a p5 i think it was.

If Michelin doesn't come out with more sizes for the PS4S, then I'm going to give these a try. They have a 60 day customer satisfaction trial, so what do I have to lose?

i asked dennis at the conti booth at the rolex 24 this weekend..

it was the tire he mentioned. but 340 tw. has me confused.

but i did see it in person, and did the poke with the finger test. and it is soft.

Can you explain what you mean? Number seems low for the claimed mileage resistance?

was asking at the continental tent if conti was going to come out with a 200 tw tire to compete with the r71 / star spec / kook s3.

i was pointed to the above tire. not sure how it really fits in. i think it will compete with the pss or the new ps4.

but for a 340 tw tire it poked really soft.. i like to support the companies that support racing. have never felt from reading reviews that conti makes a tire that is hpde usable at an above beginner level..

have been running mich pss for a while. they drive well on track and if suspension setting are correct last..

hoping to have more options.
