I also have a follow up question. Is it possible to create a map to maximize fuel efficiency? Since its snowy and shit out it would be nice to get some good mpg since i can't go fast lol
Map 0

ok. ok. So i dont have access to E85. So I want to keep AFR in the 12-13.5 range correct?
Timing is recorded by the Ign1 so my peak was 5.5 with an afr of 13.5 any more than that then things get hairy no?
I should note the ikh24 plugs should be near the end of their life span as I'm due to change them and oil next month if I recall.
More like 7.5 at 6k since 4th can't get up there due to speed limiter. Your AFR curve looks just fine. The ECU targets around stoich till like 5k then starts heading down to the 13 high 12 range by redline. perfect.

Car felt ok! cleanest run i coudl get. Someone legit moved into my lane 8 car lenghths away. Idk why maybe they saw me going fast and wanted to do it on purpose idk. Not bad though IGN1 was 0 for quite a bit. It looks like i might be able to push 1more psi in the 4-5k range and have it drop back as the rpm increases.
or i could be completely wrong
Ok could you point out what constitutes as a correction? Not that I don't believe you, I don't think I understand exactly yet what I'm looking for. More reading and learning is required till I get the hang if it. I did save my previous settings though so that helpsIGN1 will always be 0 up to ~4800rpm as that is what stock ECU does (and JB4 cannot affect IGN1 positively).
I see multiple cylinder corrections. I think your previous settings are perfect.
Look at the values for ign 2 and ign 3.Ok could you point out what constitutes as a correction? Not that I don't believe you, I don't think I understand exactly yet what I'm looking for. Ooo yea I hadn't selected those values. That makes much more sense. Thank youLook at the values for ign 2 and ign 3.
When these values go up from 0 then the timing is being pulled on those cylinders.
Hi Guys
First time posting from Sydney Australia here.
This thread is a great resource and testament to the community - well done and thanks to all who have contributed.
Had my JB4 running for a week or so now. New to the mqb platform but not to modified cars or tuning (I have tuned my own and several other subaru and ego turbos using open source software myself over the last few years)
Vehicle is Completely stock hardware Australian spec 2016 Audi S3 8V with snow grate removal only. DP and IE fmic are next to go on.
Keep in mind we had the dual injection ea888 gen 3 (DI and port).
Here is a log from tonight. It's summer and we are going through a heat wave, however tonight was pretty cool with ambient at 26.5C (79F)
This is with 98 Ron (US 92-93 octane equivalent fuel) and e25 mix on map 2
AFR is a little lean for my liking however trims are in order which gives me some comfort as I know the ecu has an EGT target to dump fuel in if things are getting out of hand
Wouldn't mind your views and input given your collective experience

confirm afr/fuel bias are all 100
IGN1 will always be 0 up to ~4800rpm as that is what stock ECU does (and JB4 cannot affect IGN1 positively).

Thanks Diggs - just checked my app (not connected to jb4 just static) and bias were all set to 0.
When I checked this upon install of the jb4 last week, i could've sworn they were 100. Do the values change once you load a different map setting?
Edit: here is another log from tonight where afr looked a little better

Just installed JB4 (Rev1 Stage1 upgraded to JB4) on my MK7.5 GTI. I did few runs with Map 1 and Map 2. Below are the data logs:
Map 1:
https://datazap.me/u/yoyocome/map1-1202017?log=0&data=0-1-4
Map 2:
https://datazap.me/u/yoyocome/map2-1202017?log=0&data=1-2-4
When I first got the car and I did few runs, I was impressed and felt stock is quite fast, but for some reason I don't feel impressed with the JB4 when I did the runs. I mean it is fast, but just didn't feel "wow".
I want to try Map 6, but not sure what settings I should go with. What do you guys think?
Car also have installed:
- APR Carbon Fiber Intake System + APR Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet Pipe
- APR Turbo Inlet Pipe
- CTS Turbo Muffler Delete
