Any logs on this? I find it hard in my car to hit those high of psi on the back end since the stock boost curve is mirrored.

Here is your challenge, my old car with a JB1.

My logs are on my laptop, but I will try to post them up tomorrow. What you are saying holds true for me. However, what I've found is that when I reduce the psi up top, because of the mirror effect, my top declined. So I run a higher psi to get close to the psi I want (hope that makes sense). Example- when I lowered 5000-7000, the actual boost was even lower than the target. At the settings I have now for my top end I get pretty close, sometimes though it can be off as much as 2 psi.

In for dyno results, really curious to see how it performs. I might have missed it but did you change your parameters since you recently installed the IC?

I increased boost from 4500-6500 RPM by +.5 PSI

83 degrees in the shop. The peak numbers are:

303 HP and 341 TQ

There was no timing pull so I could have increased the boost but I'm happy with the HP numbers. The dyno operator was able to spool it up a little sooner but still not 100% pedal until over 3500 RPM.

IAT's got 10 degrees over on this pull.

Why didn't he mash throttle before 3500?

I'm not sure. As you can see in the data log, he didn't mash it until 3900 RPM. I have DSG and maybe the kickdown would damage his dyno?

I'd image TQ would be over 350 ft. lbs. if he built more boost earlier.

Just want to say thank you to Perry and Orly for the invite. They are some really good guys. Ok, on to the numbers.....

First run - map6 additive - 292whp/346lbft

Second run - map2 - 287whp/325lbft

Third run - map6 absolute - 298whp/354lbft

Forth run - map6 absolute +1psi from 4500 and up - 299whp/351lbft

Was so close to 300............. just couldn't get there. Some observations---- I found out that my car does NOT like additive, my intercooler needs to hurry up and get here, spacers can stick and finally, the JB4 is a consistent piece of equipment.

Hi Jerod/Perry. Curious...i am really surprised that the IE was only good for 4 hp.
Jerod, can you post up your settings for the 299whp run? Also, what octane?

Hi Jerod/Perry. Curious...i am really surprised that the IE was only good for 4 hp.

An intercooler isn't really a big power gain, it's more of a power loss prevention. My IATs were sky high, 127~137 at times. Perry's were way lower. Less heat soak equals consistent power.
