My 2013 Golf Mk 7 has Lane Assist (which actively steers to keep the car within lane). It works fine.
On the Infotainment System there's a section on the Car->Setup->Driver Assistance page titled "Lane Assist" and under that a checkbox for "Adaptive lane guidance". I unchecked that today expecting the Lane Assist system to be turned off but it steered just as before!
So what does unchecking "Adaptive lane guidance" do?
