Hi guys, I'm new here so hey hope you are all well.
Well I've recently purchased a White 2013 Golf Mark 7 1.6 TDI SE Bluemotion Tech it's done 41k miles. I've recently enquired to get it remapped and they have advised me that:
The car can have a 50/50 remap which could get it to 145-155 bhp and torque from 250nm to 320nm, throttle response increase by 10% and MPG rise of 15%, he's also recommended a DPF remove and EGR remove which apparently can push to 160+ bhp. They said the cost is £500 for all of this.
So my question is what do you guys think? As i'm very new to the modding and remapping stuff etc. Will the extra power and torque be a strain on the mechanical components of the car causing it to degrade or break faster, would it damage it in the long run? Or would it be fine and a worth it improvement in your opinions? Just looking for some advice or tips.
