2018 GTI base model, Anyone convert the halogen headlight bulbs to LED?

The housing has contacts on it for power and is made for a normal halogen. LEDs have a big heatsink in the back and will not fit.
Also many reviews for led headlights aren't very good visibility.
Best option is eds replicas with some morimoto hids

Error free / plug & play / true lumen / bright / no glare

I tried deautokeys bulbs. You are better off with eds replicas and normal HIDs

Any retrofit is illegal in the US, Canada and Europe for good reason.

Anyone tried this mod? Which kit to order? It seems that our bulb adapter is not like a conventional H7 socket.

Julez - it's a bad idea to install an aftermarket LED bulb into your non-led designed headlights. Hit up Amazon and buy some Philips Xtreme such as these http://a.co/7gMEhbe and call it a day until you can upgrade your headlights to something better.
