I know which colors people like are all about personal preference, but I always recommend a color (blue, green, red, etc.) to a non-color (black, white, grey, silver). The roads need more color.

My only thought is that it's not full seated when you're replacing the clip. Otherwise, it's possible something broke. Can you post a picture? Might be able to spot something off in a photo.
