Just seems like 2016 has a lot more depreciation...i guess it's whether that is worth...

What year is the best value used mk7 now?

For mk7s, what year do you think is the best value for a used or CPO GTI now?

There is a balance: the older you go, the less expensive, but the higher chance of more costly repairs. And 2018 has...

Possible to rent a Golf or GTI?

I'm considering buying a Golf or GTI. Is there any way to rent one so I can drive it for a few days or a week before I make a decision?

Located in NJ. Thanks.

How is the autonomous braking on Golfs?

The IIHS Safety rating for the Golf says that the front crash prevention rating is "Basic". And it notes "Autobrake not tested."

Does low and high speed autonomous braking on VW's do anything? ...

Would you say a jb1 would be worth it on 87 only? From your few weeks of running it that way was it still noticeable enough?

Thanks.

Options for adding aftermarket forward collision alert?

I see some dashcams have this. Are they just toys?

On the high end I hear Mobileye mentioned a lot.

Any experiences or recommendations?

Thanks for all the replies, sounds like a Jb1 would be easier. I'm only looking for some modest boost anyway.

Does it make any difference if it's being removed from the 2.0 gti or 1.8 tsi?

I just had a dealer tell me the extra 2yr/24k CPO warranty is the same as the factory warranty, it is bumper-to-bumper and covers the same things.

Is that not true?

Even if you get a good deal on a new 18 you will still take a hit on depreciation.

Unfortunately the longer warranty is only on 18s or I'd be looking at a 17.
