Has anyone tried a set of these? There's the Proxes T1 Sport, Proxes R1R, etc.

Yes, great tyres. T1R's. I used these tyres on a few hot hatches around 10+ yrs ago now.

I would imagine there are better tyres out now, like Michelin PSS. That is where I would spend my money.

T1-R's are the only tire I have ever returned. The T1-S's were flawless. The T1-R's were mushy by comparison .

Had a set of T1-Rs in the Corrado for a while and they were pretty hard compound and sidewall. Result was they rode badly and performed very badly in the wet. Good on a hot sunny day once you get some heat in them though.
I have heard from others with heavier cars that they squirm around a lot, however, so you can't really translate from one car to another.
Consider them a decent budget option but you deserve better if you can afford it..

R1R used to be the tires to have in autoX. Newer tires have eclipsed it on ultimate performance for competitiveness, but for normal use its still pretty good performance tires...
