Tire advice on 18x8.5 rim

I have 225/40/18's on my 18 X 8.5 ET45's and they do stretch a little but nothing stance life-ish. Next time around I'd get the 235's though.

Tire section width is a pretty meaningless number. Read this article to learn why:

Got cha...how's it feel with the newer rims on your car? Yeah looks like i'm going with the 235/40. Thanks for the feedback!

Idk if I'm over thinking it, but road noise has increased slightly and so did the vibrations. Not to where my steering wheel is shaking, but I think the slightly stretched tires are creating some friction.

Noted, I ordered the Michelin PSSs today so hopefully in a few days i'll have them mounted!
