Can you either provide the APR template or move the hub offsets to match?

Like this?

I figured you'd want the portion that would actually rest on the outside of the hub bore to line up, not the part inside.

Might have thought about that wrong though. Here's the link for the template: APR 350x34 BBK

Edit:Kinda curious for your reasoning either way! I figured the portion that went into the hub bore was pretty immaterial, because the material on the outside of the hub bore would really limit depth of the portion going into the hub bore.

The engineers are a bit backed up at the moment but I will have them check these as soon as they can. Compared to some of the other kits we have tested, I am almost certain the 355mm kit will clear the 17x9" ET42 VS-5RS without any issues.

The larger 378mm kit will likely be a tight fit with the 18x9" ET42 SM-10 and will probably require a spacer to clear the 18x9" ET42 VS-5RS.

I am out for a few days next week but once I return I will circle back with the official clearance results.

Following up on this!

It looks like the 355mm kit will have dropwell clearance issues with the 17x9" ET42 VS-5RS, requiring at least a 4mm spacer to clear. For the 378mm kit, clearances are a bit tighter with the 18x9" ET42 VS-5RS, with a 10mm spacer being required to clear.

Let me know if ya'll have any other requests in the meantime!

Quick question - does the APR kit have the same issue?

Not an engineer by any regard, but just looking at the templates on the same scale suggests it should fit...

We have already tested the 6-pot 350x34mm and 380x34mm APR kits, in which the 350mm clears the 17x9" ET42 VS-5RS and the 380mm clears the 18x9" ET42 VS-5RS without needing any spacers. It seems those APR kits are a bit friendlier on the dropwell side compared to the Paragon kits.

I know a lot of you have been anxiously awaiting the official release of our new VW/Audi 18x9" ET42 VS-5RS, and I really appreciate everyone's patience while the first batch of these wheels have been wrapping up production. With that being said, I am happy to report some very exciting news! As of this morning, the 18x9" ET42 VS-5RS is officially live on our website and is currently open to pre-orders at a 10% discount off MSRP.

The pre-order phase will carry on through the end of our upcoming 4th of July sale. With that in mind, if you are looking to pick-up a set at a discount, now is the time to do so to ensure you get your preferred finish color locked-in before the first production batch sells out. Currently, the 18x9" ET42 VS-5RS will be offered in Anthracite, Brushed Clear, Satin Black, and Satin Bronze at launch. If there are any particular finishes anyone would like to see for the second production run, please feel free to let me know, as we will be gauging demand throughout the pre-order phase.

At this time, we are expecting the first batch to arrive at our warehouse around late July/early August. These wheels will be arriving in two different shipments, so certain finishes might be showing up sooner than others.

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be working on getting these wheels added to our applicable fitment guides, as well as getting some content prepped to share with the VW/Audi community. It is important to note that while these wheels have the same fitment as our 18x9" ET42 Flow Formed SM-10s, they DO NOT have the same brake clearance. There are a few certain brake kits that this new wheel will not be able to clear (8-Piston TTRS/RS3 front brakes, for example), so if you have a larger aftermarket BBK, please do not hesitate to reach out to confirm brake clearance before pulling the trigger! That said, the 18x9" ET42 VS-5RS will still be able to clear all of the factory MQB VW and non-RS MQB Audi OEM brakes, as well as the vast majority of popular OE+ (Macan) and aftermarket BBKs.

If anyone has any questions regarding the ordering process, fitment, brake clearance, etc, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Hmm, want a 1k mile set of RS4s too? I’d consider it, but shipping from Austin would likely suck.
Ofc my car was just shipped to NY from TX too..doh. You are probably right on the shipping, but if you have an estimate on total wheel weight I can try and price it out. Not sure we can make the economics work, but feel free to PM if you do go the 18 route. I would prefer a wheel only deal, but beggars can't be choosy.

I can probably find a home for the tires, and I have the original packaging from Apex. My biggest issue is still finding a tire that comes closer to the stock 25.5” diameter. The RS4 isn’t any better in 18. I’ll keep looking.

I hear you. No rush. Shoot me a price if you decide to part w/them. I can run shipping estimate through work account.

I’m still interested in 17s if someone is looking to do the upgrade. May order a new set of 18s for summer and run the 17s in the winter lol
