meaning the 35mm f/1.8 dx lens is a great lens

12-24mm f/4 nikkor
18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 nikkor

you got like the perfect lens set up
I used the 18-200 on my d40 for a weekend i didnt like the shots i was getting though. ppl say that lens is hit or miss.

i used the 12-24 f2.8 one time
that was secks

im def gonna be gettin the 35mm 1.8 tho :thumbsup:

1.8 for shallow DOF

i still would like to add a nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 for portraits but they are expensive brand new and nobody selling it locally used. all my lens are bought used and about or less than half the price of a brand new one. on the occasion i have to shoot an event i just rent a 24-70 for about $8/day so not too bad. they say am better off with a 17-35mm since i got crop sensor on my d300 but i really like the 24-70 better.

for the 18-200mm, most of the pic i have on my photostream are shot with it. to me its good enough for posting pics on the web. am not pro so i don't pixel peep :wink:
