MiB version and firmware update

Hello all

I bought a 2015 golf, TSI, highline imported from singapore into new zealand. I love my new vehicle!!
I'm trying to update the maps but am having no luck.
I tried a lot of things, and have a few questions I'm hoping you can help with.

1. Can somebody help me confirm what unit I have? I have screenshots of the unit below.

2. Can somebody help me understand if i should update the firmware?

3. Can somebody help me understand why i cannot get my maps updated to a newer version, i have followed all the steps for the map update,but system doesn't recognize new maps, is it because i have an import?

4. I really like the screen,could i just swap out theglove box unit for a newer model to get apple carplay?

Even if you can only help me answering part of 1 of the questions that would be great. I think i have surfed the net for answers at least 20-30 hours.
