How to install Schroth Quick Fit Pro in a MK7 GTI

If anybody does this with the shim, would you mind posting what shim you used?

Well the sellers say it fits. You are correct about the actual spec sheet approval. It's a shady practice that you can order it as fitting from web sites and it requires this much modification.

The issue here isn't whether it fits or not or the slight change to the hole diameter, these were not tested in the MK7 w/r to the seat back strength which is the whole reason these work/why you can use them. The third party vendors don't understand and see "VW" so think that's all that matters. Because the tail strap angles are more severe than a typical/allowed for a harness (<20), there is downward force placed on the seat back in the event of a crash so the test that certifies this to the specific vehicle by testing the seat backs to ensure they pass/hold up so you aren't injured by your body being compressed downward. I'm quite sure if the older ones pass these do but it's not been tested/use at your own risk. Really suprised that Schroth hasn't tested in the MK7 at this point.
