Getting Carplay/AA on this unit

I have a question regarding the steps i need to do in order to get CP/AA on my VW.

Ive tried researching a bit but no luck so far

Hardware 724
Software: 0890

I’m assuming you already have it fitted & just need it activated? If so, only 2 ways possible I believe. Either via your VW dealer or someone like VAGretrofit can do it remotely if you have a laptop & a d-link cable.

i want mine doing but don’t have a laptop & im not paying £250 to VW!!

3Q0 035 819C is VW Composition Media.
Good news: it's in MIB2 generation.
Bad news: units with 819 and 820 does not support App-Connect and Rear View Camera.
You don't have App-Connect icon in the menu, right?

Yeah that is correct, there is no App-Connect icon. I was hoping an update or something could be the fix

Same here. MIB 2 fully compatible. £250 to enable app connect and if I want VWs voice activation that's another £250 (I know that they're not both required together) . It would be cheaper to replace with an after market system that already has those features.

...or replace with patched one. Fully activated P&P units are around $300.
