So I went to a local mountain range to do a solo fun run. Unfortunately, there were wet leaves EVERYWHERE so I refrained from spirited driving. I just happened upon this spot that was completely free of ANY traffic for about half an hour. It’s a 19 Mk 7.5 thst I just bought 2 weeks ago. Previously had a 2009 M3 (V8 430hp). This car is SO MUCH MORE FUN! Modding will begin in the Spring…Unless, I get a big client before then! 🤣😎 I’m not used to NOT being able to hang the tail out. But I prefer the sure-footedness of this little “rocket”. I need to have $5k (engine replacement fund) before I tune 🤣 and turn it into a Real Rocket! 👍🏻

A 4 banger with a tiny turbo is more fun than a e9x M3? Really now...
Yes, ON THE STREET. The Golf has accessible speed! The M3 hits its peak hp at 8200! While fun getting there, it lacks ANY torque. The GTI has similar/more TQ. Plus the M3 is NOT a small car and weighs “about” 600 lbs more. Fill your GTI with people and tell me that the driving dynamics don’t change! On a mountain/canyon run the M3 would probably decimate the Golf if you were timing them. I want to “feel” every bit of G force and not worry about crashing what was was originally a $70k car! Call me crazy! 🤣
Example: I got in a a 5 mph rear ender. There was a CRACK in the bumper! It cost the woman’s insurance company $15k and it took SIX WEEKS to repair!!! This is what I had “planned” to get at TWICE the price of the 7.5. I bailed on it, since if a bumper cost $15k I can’t IMAGINE what the bodywork would cost on a one-off “wide body” custom would cost! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I will add, the full second turbo boost delay IS annoying! 🤣
