9.5 hrs at work yesterday, Mrs Mud and I went for a hike followed by picnic concert. Phone rings at midnight, work alarm I tell them to ignore it. In at 5:15 this AM another 9.5 hrs. I get home spend 1.5 hrs sketching out patio and pergola for next years project. Go inside to do something two calls from work. My boss and owner. "can you come in? the compressor is down and the whole shop is idle" It took me 5 minutes to fix. It wouldn't be bad money at the 2+ hr minimum but travel is 1/2 hr each way. I hope i get a bonus for this or at least remembered come raise time.

Took a nice road trip through north Yosemite in the Tioga Pass. Was pretty rad, bros.

Time to ask for 4 hour call in pay.

If my boss calls me on my days off and I walk him or the other tech through something he will give me 1-2 hours pay. I think our standard call in is 2 hours also but he has offered 4 for real emergencies. In the summer I can’t just come in without getting a sitter but school will be starting soon.

What ever happened to ninjas? Growing up they used to be the shit. A few movies, killer video ganes: Nunja Gaiden, Shinobi, etc.... Now nothing about ninjas for decades.

Like my life in Emergency Management, nobody will drop the required $$ for proper Disaster Recovery until something happens and then it is "why the hell didn't you....."
