i live in aperture priority mode. it's the setting i care most about, so I just let the super smart camera pick up the slack with shutter speed and iso. only time i'm in fully manual is when i'm specifically aiming for motion blur. although, it's very easy to get motion blur with aperture priority enabled, just shoot in the dark.

This is a recent film shot. Kodak XX film, 400iso, 2s shutter, I wanna say f/5.6, if not f/8. I braced the camera on the edge of the pool table.

I'm still undecided. I didn't try any of the betas even though I had it installed. I think I'll let people play it for a week and then I'll check it out some more. Destiny 2s new season came out a week or 2 ago, but I haven't really been playing that, and I just got Returnal, so I got some stuff to play for now. I'm not opposed to picking it up if it looks good. I recently put 151 hours into Last Epoch, but I hit a wall with that game where I just couldn't care to continue with the grind anymore.

I don't have any other games to look forward to except Lords of the Fallen and that's not until October. I'm hoping this one ends up being just as good as God of War and Elden Ring. It looks pretty sick in the trailers.

Like this pic of my daughter. I was following the kids around on the playground and she happened to look up as I was looking down the tire hole. It was super sunny that day and it was dark down the hole. I probably would have missed the shot if I had to mess with too many settings.

thanks, I've been trying to lean into the more creative/abstract lately. practicing with my digital camera and sorta using the knowledge with film. film's fuckin expensive these days.

All the reviews are looking positive for it. The beta was fun, but a limited area and only up to 25. I paid the $96 for the middle tier (begrudgingly, but still did), since I've gotten bored of Zelda and have nothing else to play. That way I can jump in this weekend. Base game is $70, and figured I'd be the good consumer and get the $10 battle pass at some point anyway, so might as well pay the extra $10 on top of that to be entertained this weekend.

I'd say "Why the fuck is there a battle pass in a $70 game anyway?", but I already know the answer. It's because fuck you, people will pay it.

After trying many different types of photography I can see why people specialize in stuff. Portraits, sports, babies, kids, event, street, architecture, landscape.

I'm sure I'll cave and buy it, but I don't know when. It's the type of game I just need to be able to put 70 hours into it and I'll be happy. It's certainly a pretty game for an ARPG. I'd have to lvl a necro and druid, maybe an amazon too. I always wanted a druid in D2, but I could never get the right gear to level it very far. I did so many cow levels back then. Moo.

The battlepass shit drives me a little crazy though. I hate it in Destiny 2 and it helped ruined Overwatch 2. The types of games I'm drawn to has changed a bunch over the last 4-5ish years. I'm more and more moving away from online games and moving towards single player games that offer the full experience with a single cost. Games like God of War, Elden Ring, Hades, and Returnal are what I look for now. A lot of that has to do with the combat on online games not doing anything dramatically different in the last 10-15 years. I could never play something like WoW again because I'm so done with that kind of combat. If someone did God of War type of combat in an MMO then I think I'd be able to try them out again.

I've got almost 1k hours into Path of Exile too. I think I've spent like $40 on that game in total. I bought a bundle pack 1 time.
