Compass works without GPS Antenna?

So A few years have passed since I've Retrofitted MIB 2

And Today I Started the car And Suddenly the Compass in the dashboard Starts working( No GPS Antenna and no NAV as standard)

How is that Possible, for the last 3 years the Compass was stuck on W, and today it works perfectly Without a GPS Antenna??

Did you have the phone connected ?
Car-play or Android auto? It is possible that it is getting data from the phone.

What region are you in and what year and specs is your car?

I know in NA for the Prefacelift MK7s the S and SEs have a GPS antenna they use for timing and the compass at the top of the MFD. Autobahns have the selectable full compass for the center.

Its a 2015 mk7 GTI, And I Am from Israel.

The GPS antenna Is the Shark fin on the roof, tho mine doesn't have it.

Im Not sure about what you say, I Still have a fault code that says, GPS antenna Open Circuit.
