Can you do a turbo swap with the stock intercooler?

I am not tuned, nor do I have an IS38.

My dyno was JB1 and stock turbo.

I have ED IS38 tune on my swapped GTI. made 352 whp and 367 wtq with the hood closed and no fan on winter tires dripping water all over the dyno (snowstorm).

I think it's all in his signature. He's running ED (Eurodyne) as he stated

Basically if you don't have an upgraded intercooler all you will do is lose HP due to heat soak like stated above. You can still run a turbo swap, you just have to consider the other variables needed to make reliable HP.

You could but if you are going to go the route of the is38 you should really look at upgrading the GTI intercooler
