I know APR just came out with their downpipe, and so I assume no one's done this yet, but on the off chance that someone has, did it mate nicely and how is the sound and perfomance?
I've been looking at AWE's catted performance downpipe and track edition catback and have been planning or ordering at the end of this month.
APR's downpipe is cast as opposed to AWE's welded, and has a 400 cell catalyst as opposed to AWE's 200 Cell.
Expense wise, the APR/AWE set up would be about $350.00 cheaper than the full AWE turboback:
AWE Turbo back: $1970
APR Downpipe: $749.99+ AWE Track edition exhaust: $869.95= $1619.94.

I'd like some input regarding this from someone more knowledgeable than I am.

My goal is to tune to stage II with uni and increase sound (without creating too much drone). I'll have to drive from Houston to Austin (about 3 hrs) to get the tune with the exhaust already installed in the car.

I really like the look and structural integrity of the cast down pipe, but I'm not sure it matters. I also don't know how I feel about a 400 cell catalyst over a 200 cell. Would it make much of a difference in sound/performance?
