In everyday use, you aren't likely to injury yourself, but if you're seat fails in an accident, it's a real possibility. That's why padding, helmets, and race seats are required in race cars.

That being said, seats don't fail all that often and adults can choose what's an acceptable risk for something that doesn't affect others. My dad daily drove several Showroom Stock club races with cages when I was a kid, we'd sit in the back seat too. We lived, but it wasn't optimal.

I wouldn't scoff at the possibility of injury from the bar though, it is real, even if low in your case.

it took some time to find a mint set and these only cost me the same as a new pair of leather Recaro Sportster CS so I got a deal

flame away just test fitted it's the only Oettinger TCR wing in the states........off too paint...

Actually, I like it. It looks like the only rear spoiler capable of generating downforce, other than the real GTI TCR spoiler (which requires a different hatch) and R Theory's racing wing kit. Where'd you buy it?
