Really? I always thought mexico blue was just as bright a blue as this one while riviera blue was a very slightly darker blue. Both are hard to tell apart unless the lighting is right.

Cornflower blue looks awesome on the new rabbits. This would be my choice if I was shopping now.

I have to agree with all who have said this blue definitely suggests more of the limited edition status than the black, white, or dark gray (Urano) does. Liked the UG and thought it would be what I'd get if snagging a Rabbit. Then I saw one at the dealer and felt more meh about it. Just another dark gray. Have yet to see a CB, and still on the fence about the red trim on a blue car, but would be my choice now versus any other color if I were in the market. Think I'm gonna keep the AB for awhile. If the Rabbit had the Fender/Sirius, and DCC, no question there would be one replacing the AB.

I will! Yeah, I too questioned whether the red accents would look weird on blue. I even considered whether I might try and swap out everything red but with the accents inside the headlights that would become a costly venture!

Seeing it in person, I'm not too concerned with the red bits and even quite like the look; though if I were designing it from scratch I would have probably done everything in black for consistency.

Interesting! I'm a bit dubious though of the claim they're making that they're made in Finland by Nokian; seems more likely that Hercules is making them using tooling purchased from Nokian, but still quite the steal either way!

I stopped at dealer for my 90 day check up and they had a Blue one safely in the showroom, it had a sign, "was $30,210, now $30,210" which was humorous to me. I doubt it will last long, beautiful car, awesome color. those black wheels would have to go though (for me), it would probably be an easy trade due to all the folks who seem to like them. I might be disappointed I did not wait a bit except I love my White Silver and the 6.5" display looks way undersized compared to the 8". I mean it is only 1.5" which does not sound like much, and yet the dynamics of it are significant.

Haha! Makes you wonder how nobody at the dealership realized how dumb that sounds. For me the wheels work, but only because of the other black accents on the car; normally I'm also against black wheels.

8” screen has the same resolution as 6.5”, plus it is the same software. You are not missing much.

Thanks sshlyk for the information! With that in mind I think I'm glad we got the smaller one. I prefer a sharper screen to a larger one if I have to pick; and like you, I don't mind the design of the 6.5" unit.

CB does actually have some teal/green in it too but unfortunately it didn't come out to play when we were taking photos since it was so overcast. It's a lot more apparent under bright sunlight and indoor incandescent lighting. Under LED lighting it's more on the purple side of blue. I've never had a non-metallic paint before and didn't realize how dynamic it would be. I appreciate the kind words Greek!

When the weather permits and I find some time, I'll grab some more sunny shots to post up.

Hi Kris, yes sadly the entire hatch spoiler is painted black instead of just the “Vmax” lip being black with the rest in body color like was shown on the press pics. I'll try and get some better pics of it this weekend but in the meantime you can see it on these dealer photos:

Man, I love that blue!
This car in this color is my favorite version - looks wise of all the Golf's, GTI's and R's.
I'm taking a couple of cues off of this car and putting black mirror caps, a Maxton spoiler (I know, not the same) and graphite - though not black - wheels on my car.
