Thanks for bumping the thread lately, I would have forgotten completely about this... Here's a few side shots.

This is 30% F1 Pinnacle Ceramic tint...

I too run Formula One Pinnacle (Llumar) 30% ceramic on my GTI and R. My GTI is parked outdoors 24/7 and the leather is still in like-new condition after 2yrs. It is a little pricy, but I would not have it any other way.

You’ll need to ask. Good shops do it routinely. Others will balk.

Mine are not. You won't notice if they aren't. If your shop says it's no big deal then go for it.

Looks-wise I won't notice either way since I'm in NY where we can't go lower than 70% so I've been considering a ceramic film to just keep the heat out I guess I'll have to ask since I don't want those triangles contributing to turning my car into a sauna on a hot day. If they say that'd be extra then I'll call off the whole thing.

Is there an official tinted windows thread on this forum? I've searched google:
MKVII Golf with tinted window + MKVII Golf Forum but nothing seems to come up where everyone has posted photos of their cars with tinted windows. The photos are all over the place.

Can we start an OFFICIAL tinted windows thread where we can post photos of our GTI/R with tinted windows and the percentage of tint used????

My e90 had 20% all around. Which was very immature in hindsight.

But with my WorkhorseGTi, I’m hauling perishables often, and the Tint helps a lot in the back.
