Why do SD card Mp3 files get lost until reset?

Just never seen anyone use it. Maybe it's my age group. A couple YouTube reviews I saw of the golf before buying made a few jabs at VW for having the SD card stuff everywhere too. Then again, I can't even remember the last time I used a CD/DVD/Blu ray or floppy drive either. :p not knocking it if it works for you. I wouldn't be able to store all of my music on one SD

I guess it depends on whether you want to buy music or not.

My primary source to listen to music is Spotify.

I was one of the early users back when record labels were fighting the new streaming services.

In the beginning, I would make playlists and stream.

After a while, songs would drop out from Spotify as record companies sold artist and music rights to other companies, and then the songs would re-appear after Spotify negotiated with the new company.

I got fed up, and decided to purchase / download songs instead of streaming.

And you're right, it's probably a generational thing.

My first music purchases were 45s and 8 tracks

VHS tapes were already going towards the grave when I was a kid :p ;)
