I think I answered this before, but feeling nostalgic.
1983 Toyota Supra (5 speed, L-Type Silver)
1995 Jeep Wrangler Rio Grande (Bright Mango)
1996 Ford Bronco 4X4 XLT 351 (Two tone maroon. My only car with a name: Frank.)
2003 Mazda Pro5 (laser Blue Mica, LOVED that car)
1986 Jaguar XJS V12 (light tan over cranberry leather. I so deeply regret selling this car)
2013 Hyundai Sonata turbo (This is the only car I've ever owned that I regret. I went to buy a Frontier Pro4X, but I knew my wife didn't want a truck. Came home with the "sensible" choice, and she hated it. AND I traded my Jaguar in on it!!!)
2010 Cadillac CTS Wagon 3.6 AWD (Silver. Great vehicle, not terribly practical, and between AWD, dull motor, and automatic, not overly fun)
2016 Golf R!!!
And motorcycles....
83 Honda Shadow 750 (Shared with a college roommate. Is rust a color?)
89 Yamaha TW200 (Like all dirtbikes anywhere near Baltimore, it was stolen. Miss you, little beast!)
2006 Triumph Speedmaster (I still have this bike. It's been seriously customized, and it's fun to ride in the way that parade floats are fun to ride, but it's also frightening, in the way riding a parade float on 95 at rush hour would be frightening.)
2002 Kawasaki ZRX-1200R (in Eddie Lawson green. I will own this bike again.)
2007 Triumph Tiger 1050 ABS (White. I just sold this bike. Before I had kids, I basically lived on this machine. After my second son was born, I didn't ride it for 3 years. Sad, but times change. Perfect motorcycle for me at the time, though. Great for commuting, could keep up with just about anything on 2 wheels and anything on 4, awesome 2 up, good on gravel, great on long distances. Oh, and that 3-cyllinder sound track.
So, as far as motors go, I've had a single (The TW200,) two twins (The Shadow and Speedmaster,) a triple (The Tiger), 4 fours (The Wrangler, Mazda, Hyundai, and ZRX,) a straight six (the Supra), a V6 (The Caddy,) a V8 (the Bronco,) and a V-12 (the Jag.)
So I need a 5 cylinder and a 10 cylinder to complete the series. Hoping for a TT RS after the kids are grown a bit, but might be forced to pick up an old Colorado or Canyon to get my 5 cylinder. For the 10, if the price of first gen Vipers stays low, (mid 20s,) maybe one will find its way to my garage for a few years, though I do think about finding an Excursion V10 or Taureg V10 diesel as a family hauler.
And as far as love goes, I'd put the Golf up there with any of my cars. Lust would go to the Jag. Fun would go to the Jeep. The one I'd most like to ad back to my stable would be the Bronco, would make a great family bug out vehicle for when the zombies come. But the best all arounder? Probably a toss up between the Golf and the Mazda. The Mazda was cheaper, just as fun, though not nearly as fast, and while a little more cramped in the cockpit, the wagon had a bit more space. Just a great little car.
The Golf is more sophisticated, WAAAAY faster and more comfortable and, so far at least, more reliable. Definitely the perfect car for me right now.
Bikes wise, the Tiger was a freaking perfect motorcycle for 99.9 percent of what I'd want to do. That TW200 was pefect fot the other .1 percent. If I were to get any of the bikes I'd given up back at the moment though, it would be the TW200. Not sure I am willing to put myself back on the roads till my kids are older, but trail riding at a nice, steady, middle aged man speed sounds just about right....
