Jesus guys! $300 for a vent?! Why not make it in black ABS plastic? This piece doesn't see a whole lot of pressure and really doesn't need to be CF. Beautiful part, but way to expensive.

+1 vote on a cheaper ABS version, $300 is as much as an intake lol

Hi guys, thank you for your feedback.

The demand that we have is for Carbon Fiber parts and we wanted this Air Duct to be a seamless addition to our Carbon Fiber intake for this platform.

Unfortunately, we have no plans on making this in ABS.

Straight up engine porn. ABS defeats the purpose.

Actually the purpose is to provide a better flow to the air filter since the OEM piece is only opened on one side. So it doesn't matter what material its made out of, the carbon fiber is just for looks. The weight difference between carbon fiber and ABS on such a small part will be minuscule.

Hi, I've come here to complain that a company didn't ask me my preference before making a part, and to point out how expensive the part is. Oh, I forgot to mention I'm not in the market for the part they are making regardless. Am I in the right place? /s

The part looks great UNI, and I'm sure a customer looking for something different in their bay will really appreciate the work you've done. :)

You can make this out of abs with a Dremel tool and 10 minutes (not knocking doing that, it's what I run). This is for people that want a little engine bay dress-up too.

Here's a little bit of technical information on our newly released Air Duct.

I know the information will be debated but thanks for doing the work and sharing.

The chart shows waste gate open more on the new intake showing is does not need as much drive from exhaust to make boost.
Does this also mean the turbo is spinning slower or is it same speed but less exhaust needed to spin? From your statement I assume it is spinning slower, making same boost so less rotational wear. Just wanted to make sure I understood.

Wastegate being open more means more exhaust is being diverted and less exhaust is passing over the turbine wheel, so less turbine speed. You've got it.
