Unrelated geezer GTI trivia: the Mk4 GTI 20th Anniversary Edition's colors (Jazz Blue, Imola Yellow, and Black Magic Pearl) were chosen via a poll taken at VWVortex. The Vortex's founder, Jamie VonDruska, was on the VWoA payroll as a consultant by then, and VWoA was already very closely monitoring posts there. They decided it would be fun (and pertinent) to let the members choose the colors. Pretty cool. Jamie sold VWVortex last year to Verticalscope (who is the parent company of most of the large automotive forum sites on the interwebs) for a hefty 7-figure sum. The Vortex has been around since the mid-late '90's.

Ready to race!
So you were 24 when you first appeared in Super Mario Bros? That sounds about right.

Hehe...welcome!

:) I remember enjoying ShaNaNa as a kid. Then I was 20 when I named my 1st dog Bowser. At the time, I thought all dogs should be named Bowser. Remember being amused one time several years later when playing MarioKarts w/ my kids. "WHAT did you say that character's name is?" (Always picked Bowser!)

Some habits are hard to break...

Picked up my newest GTI a month ago now. Still haven't let go of my mk5 yet, but I'm slowly growing okay with it as the mk7 starts to take shape as mine.

Started my car journey late, living in NY until I was 23 meant I never needed a license until I moved to NJ.

23, 2000 Saturn SC2 (don't ask, it was cheap and available right away lol)

24, 2004 Honda Civic Si (ep3)

26, 2006 Mk5 GTI

58 in my 2016 gti. First gti after owning two Mk1 sciroccos was a brand new 84 rabbit gti back in the late summer of 83. What a great car! Total of 8 GTI's, 1 mkIV Golf R32. All told a total of 17 VW's out of 63 cars owned during my lifetime so far. Basically 27% of my cars have been VW's. All water cooled engines.
