DG springs TSI vs stock GTI

Did anybody drive a stock GTI and a TSI with the DG springs? I was wondering how they would compare in terms of ride, handling and grip. Let's assume that the TSI is on 18incg rims with the same rubber as the GTI.

From my experience, the TSI with DG's will sit about 5-10mm lower (than a stock GTI, about like the R) and they will be just a tad bit firmer than a stock GTI (I drove the SE without DCC). The DG springs feel very stock-like and are arguably the best solution when you plan keep the rest of the suspension in stock form. The TSI looks silly without a drop IMHO, so it was a must for me!

How will a TSI w/ DGs feel compared to a stock GTI?

Similar on even pavement and more comfortable on smaller imperfections at low speeds,
but worse on bumps, higher speeds and quick direction changes, since TSI dampers are
weaker. If that matters to you I'd recommend to fit them along with a set of Koni Str.t
dampers. Sadly you can't run (used but low-mileage) GTI dampers because they're 55 mm
strut instead of 50 mm.

My Golf on DG :

Ride comfort VS stock Golf TSI : keep 95% of comfort
Handling VS stock Golf TSI : a bit better
Suspension bounciness VS stock Golf TSI : very much improved.

Basically it's like the GTI springs but a bit lower and a bit stiffer.

Did you search?

There is a huge thread on this.

Just search in Google "MK7 Golf DG Springs".
