i'm sorry but i will have to wait untill tomorrow to try it, but i will surely post a video!

about legal issues, i think it's not legal nor illegal..
new top-class audi models have blinkers that 'move' from inside to out (like newer mustang models) so it's not illegal that blinkers do not light up at the same time, but it could create confusion with emergency lightbars found on towtruck's etc..

worst case scenario i will tell the cops that there must be an electronic malfunction and that i will take it to a dealer to check it out..

I'm not sure if I'm thrilled with the look of having just the two turn signal units alternating, although I'm sure that this method will catch other motorists' eyes more quickly. If the car could utilize the full array of individual amber LEDs in both units switching on and off in sequence, I'd go for it in a minute. But absent of that option, I'm staying with the stock approach of both lighting units flashing in unison.

About the MOT inspection: questionable, certainly in Belgium.. but since you have a VCDS cable, why not change it right before you go to the MOT?
Here in Belgium, those things happen every year with almost every modified/tuned car.. wheels are swapped, lowering is either adjusted or replaced, ...

Sorry for my late response, it is infact the camera angle ! (and bad timing, it was a sunny day at noon :p)


After a week of having this tweak active, i decided to change it, not to original but setting the OUTER blinkers to dunkelphase instead of the inner blinkers.
Here's why, each blink cycle goes like: Hellphase/Dunkelphase, so when you tap your blinker (presumed you have the original 3 cycle comfortblink) it does this:
Hellphase / Dunkelphase / Hellphase / Dunkelphase / Hellphase / Dunkelphase
which causes the following blinkers to light up:
Outer / Inner / Outer / Inner / Outer / Inner
some might find this confusing, that's why i'm changing it


I didn't make a video yet, but i changed it to do the opposite, so the outside blinker blinks last (inner/outer/inner/outer/inner/outer)
This also means the outside blinker doesn't blink at the same time with the front and mirror blinkers, but i tested this and i think nobody will notice, unless you tell them..

Doh! I can just see it blinking on full screen HD. I like the front and rears like that and will be getting them done a week Monday at a local VW specialist as I don't have a cable. Will look at your video when you put it up to try to deicide the way to have it lighting up first. Getting a few more tweaks done as well while there.

I asked them about the MOT in the UK and it should pass but he can change it back to stock if not.

so... are you going to make a new video but start it before you do the 3 blink action so we can see?

BTW, I'm glad the R has this cause I loved it on my Evo X MR (the 3 blink thingy)
