They'll want a lot.
I think they told me that the book time was 4 hours @ $150/hr + tax.

I'm fortunate that I have a neighbor who works on VW/Audi specifically (and whatever else he gets his hands on) and currently works at a tuning shop outside of his free time installing all form of suspensions and other mods for a living, so he hooked me up and I paid him like $180. Took him ~3 hours. It was the first MK7 he'd done.

You could try to find a DIYer in your area and ask for references.
Finding a trusted home mechanic will benefit both of you more than a shop. Almost all shop techs work on percentage basis most 18-24% so $500 labor charge the tech will only pocket $100 @20% rate. So better cost and profit for both.

Yea, different weights between Golf 2dr man/2dr auto/4dr man/4dr auto

I forgot about the Performance Pack for the GTI, so 8 different combinations. I have the heaviest one 4dr DSG w/PP.

I have a manual PP, looks like VW lists 4D manual Golf at 2963lbs, and 4D GTI manual at 3031lbs, a delta of 68lbs.

So far, no rake on mine...

OK this is the TUV document I got with the spring. Just posting the page listing the axle loads:

The issue I see is that even though the type on top of the page shows the correct part number (677 A bis E), the E isn't listed below and hence the confusion.

My driving impressions: feels stock, the car's dive may have improved slightly but I felt like the car was stock, which is exactly what I'm going for, not bone jarring ride for this old man. If you want to get rid of the wheel gap but don't want to sacrifice stock driveability, this is the way to go.

Oh and the car needs a beefier rear sway bar for sure.

Thank you for posting this, able to cross reference the springs that com in the kit:5G4071677E consist of
- Front MUB071675B =1050kg
- Rear MUB071676C =890kg
My 16 SE PP DCC Manual car is rated 1020kg / 950kg so using this would increase front rate and decrease rear, this seems like a recipe for negative rake. Leaning towards the VWR and if negative rake than it wouldnt be an issue to add the taller audi rear spring pads.

I can't really tell on that pic you posted, any other angles showing the negative rake? Does it bother you?

I seem to only notice it at certain times/angles. It does bother me from a looks standpoint. I'd really like to get coilovers in the future because I prefer the dropped look...

However I have never had them myself or ridden in a car that has them to my knowledge, so I don't know what the comfort sacrifice is. I'm almost 35 and about to have my first kid so if comfort sacrifice is huge then maybe not?

I'd like to drop another 1/2"-3/4" IMO for "looks". What I do know is that I worry about bottoming out though so the coilovers probably aren't the best choice for me.

Just an FYI: if you don't like what you perceive to be a negative rake, the fix is the Audi TT rear spring pads, which is double the thickness of stock pads and would eliminate the look completely. Part number is 8J0-512-149. Sponsors carry these.

No shit? Does it work on Golf and not just GTI?
Quick search seems like people did this with previous generations.

Quick question: on another thread LeGTI wrote that on his manual and chassis sticker his 4DR 6MT PP GTI is rated for 1030kg/F and 880kg/R. Where did you get the 1020/950?
Converted the GAWR on the black Vin label in door jam: 2249 lbs front /2094 lbs rear = 1020/950 kg
