I got my 2016 gti se, carbon steel, dcc, pp, lp manual for 26,900 a little over 6k off msrp which was $33,055
Out the door was $30,657 as tax are 6.35 in ct

2 weeks ago I grabbed my reflex silver GTI 2 door S manual with no packages just basic options monster mats, locks, roadside kit and cargo blocks with trunk liner.
MSRP $26,350
Sale Price $23,000 (only rebates was the $500 for Presidents' Day)
Tax 7%
New tag $432
Title and docs fees $70
Out the door price $25,112
Not the greatest of deals but without conquest, loyalty or any rebates I was only able to get 3k under MSRP. Love the car though and I'm so glad to have found it in the exact trim/color I wanted it.
Edit. I forgot to include I got them to throw in maintenance included for no additional cost for 3 years. It's not much but I'd guess is a $500 value.

Hey Ital, 26,900 at 6.35% tax is $28,608 and you said out the door was $30,657. What was the other $2,049 for ?

Because they do not include destination and other crap...
Some have it built in the msrp and some do not.
Destination is $840
Then they had documentations $599
Registrations and what not
I do not have the whole break down but I can find it
At the end they get you no matter what..

Lol.. Its all good. I put the info out there. Depends how u look at it. All I know same car in CT was just around 31k and then they still needed to add taxes and all. Everyone needs to do what's best for them for me this saved me about $2k when all set and done, but its a PITA buying out of state. For me it was worth it
Picked up the same car in CT $32,000 out the door... You got a nice deal there! I had to get something within a week while on vacation, blew the motor in my Veloster turbo and caught the engine bay in fire!

Just purchased my new GTI, and get to pick it up on Monday!

Ended up paying an OTD price of $28,217. That includes all taxes and dealer fees. Couldn't be happier with the price and am elated to be apart of the GTI crew!

Very nice about 3 weeks ago I got almost the exact same deal as you the only difference to the above was my car is Tornado red and I got it out the door for 27200. I honestly don't miss my mk6 at all I'm am absolutely loving the mk7!
