I noticed on the site, on the back picture of the black lights, it looks like the ballast is attached with zip ties. Is this correct?

Yes, we mount to the projector frame or inside under the high beam. We only mount them internally.

In some pictures they looked screwed on and others zip tied. Which is it for the black headlights?

We never screw them down to keep the integrity of the lights in tact. They are either zip tied or adhered down no matter what the trim of the light may be.

Lights look great. Going to get some night shots later and I'll do a full post. Hopefully I don't have to do any adjustments of the beams.

Alright so I tackled the headlight swap today. Overall pretty easy install with the OPD lights because the HIDs are already installed!
Time: 1.5 - 2 hours
Difficulty: 3 of 10
I watched the DAP YouTube video for the instructions. Perfect video: https://youtu.be/fLKydAgQbOM
Tips:
Definitely jack up the car.
Plug in the lights before screwing them down.
Leave the protective plastic on during install.

Those look great! Thank you for the images, the black look awesome as it breaks up the line.
The installation tips are good ones. You mention a good point of leaving the film on the lens during install. This can help prevent scratching the lens until you are done.
Now your going to have to update your signature.
