Those of you who are tuned to higher boost pressures, did you change your MAP or lower mounted pressure (boost) sensors? I had someone tell me the stock pressure sensors need to be upgraded to ones that can tolerate higher pressures. If this is true, at what pressures is this necessary?

I don't know if R's use the same as GTI's, I would guess yes, but George Smooth replied to my thread on the GTI forum, and he said they have 3 bar, with 2 bar available for positive pressures.

Sensors are the same on the GTI and R. They both the same 3bar map sensor.

I believe you need to subtract atmospheric from the pressure on a MAP sensor. I think a 3 bar map sensor is good for around 30psi at sea level.
