Just to update this I took the cap apart, cleaned it out, cleaned the seal and installed it upside down to get a fresher sealing edge. It worked. No more seeping. I cancelled the expensive cap and I ordered new seals. If the leak comes back at that point I'll buy a new OEM cap.

I am not sure if the oil cap/seal has anything to do with it because I remember mine was perfectly dry up until ~60k KM or so, and then then I started noticing more oil sweating around the oil cap.

About 2 weeks ago @70k KM I noticed both the crank pulley seal and the upper timing cover (rear left bolt) was seeping very small amounts of oil.
Having both seals fail and start leaking at around the same time is highly uncommon with only 70k KM so I strongly suspect the PCV is the culprit.

Im going to replace the old PCV with the latest and greatest revised model (06K103495BM) and replace the crank/timing cover seal and then will keep an eye on the oil cap issue.
