Hey all. Do any of you know if OBDeleven can monitor the same engine measuring blocks as Vagcom does? I saw a recent video from OBD on live monitoring, but nothing yet that shows things like KR or manifold pressure.

Does anyone have a list of the common things to watch, specifically the names that OBDELEVEN uses? I couldn’t find things like boost psi.

Got back word from OBDeleven email support. I asked if it can monitor engine knock, and if there is a list of what can be monitored. There response:

"Our device have same functionality as VCDS. Best place to ask questions of that type is OBD11 forum*http://obdeleven.proboards.com/"

So after spending a little time browsing their forum, I see that Vagcom "channels" that the vehicle supports seem to be fully represented (example video linked below). I'm inclined to give it a shot. Would be such a convenient alternative!

My issue is that all the tutorials I've found don't accurately represent the app in it's current state. When I hit live data a giant drop down menu appears and forces you to pick something, then you hit the graph button then you have to pick something to monitor all over again. The pain in the ass part is that you have to do that each time, I wish I find a way to set up the items I want to monitor each time and have it all grouped together so all I have to do upon getting into the car is plugging in and hitting a button to start...

That is a hassle! Even my free OBD Fusion app with $12 Bluetooth saves all the things to log and keeps it that way until changed. Seems like they should just have a saved settings button and also a reset, and spare the headaches.

Found out that obdeleven could do live datalogging last week and posted about it with a link to youtube video that kinda shows how to do the logging.

Here is a list of some stuff you could log according to APR. Dont know if the terminology would be the same between vcds and OBD11 though.

Yeah, I saw that, thanks BTW. My obdeleven app doesn't behave like the one on the video, different things happen when I press the same buttons. Menus that pop up on mine don't on his and the menus on his don't pop up on mine. Finding current info is difficult and the obdeleven forum is a mess.

Yeah I had to fiddle with it a little to figure it out. I might do a quick vid if I get some time.

Just to follow-up, OBDeleven has a forum where you can request features and obviously quite a few of us would like quicker search feature and save options. Here's the thread and please nudge them too if you can. :)
