Yes sounds just like when I was running a open element intake when it was hot. If you don't have a upgraded intercooler I suggest doing so. Especially when running the AC the heat radiating off the AC condenser really heats up your IATs even with a bigger intercooler.

Bought an used NPM for 360 CAD and installed it on my 2017 GTI autobahn.
Running 91 on +5psi setting for about 1000km.
No issues so far and absolutely love it.

Just wondering. How many forum members are still running these units at this point?
Would like some longterm feedback (mileage with NPM and issues if any).

I ran one for about 18 months @ 17,000 miles zero issues. Had dp, ic, e35 and ran it mostly on +7. Car ran great.

Been running mine nice Jan/Feb this year. No hiccups so far. 5psi on 91 and 7psi on E30.

I live in Canada and run one myself! I have a MK7.5 and run Esso 93 apparently since it gives better numbers.
