Received my Southbend Stage 3 Daily clutch kit from FCP Euro today.
Next up, getting a new battery for the car since it hesitated to start. It still has the original battery from 2018, although it has been on a trickle charger for the past year. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good battery replacement? I am considering a lightweight option like Antigravity, or just doing another OEM battery since it lasted so long.

Welcome my new daily driver! A 2018 MK7.5 Golf R (DSG) with 113k miles. This is the replacement for my 2007 Honda Odyssey with 190k miles that started having electrical issues due to water intrusion into the fuse boxes.
Don't mind the dirt, it was too cold to get my detailing equipment out to do a proper wash.

Time to complete some maintenance on the new black Golf R. While test driving the car, the rear passenger hub sounded awful. I immediately lifted the car off the ground to check for play and discovered a clunk in the wheel bearing. Decided to replace both rear hubs at the same time.
Raised up on the QuickJacks.
Replaced the Spark Plugs.
Here is where my BUTTHOLE puckered! I removed the rear passenger wheel to discover this axel bolt. I took a flathead screwdriver and a hammer and started to chisel away at the rust. While attempting to break the bolt free, I snapped a 1/2" breaker bar and my Milwaukee 1/2" impact didn't budge the bolt.
No more playing around, the bolt head went from a 24mm down to a 22mm with some help from a hammer and socket. Picked up a torch and used the handle from a jack as a cheater bar. They finally broke free, but I was definitely scared in the process.
Replaced the rear rotors and pads while swapping hubs since they had 33k miles on them.
Performed the rear Haldex service.
Serviced the front and rear diff, engine, and DSG.
Service Performed:
New NGK Spark Plugs
New FAG Rear Hubs
New Zimmerman Rear Rotors
New PowerStop Z26 Rear Brake Pads
Motul DOT5.1 Brake Fluid Flush
Replaced Cabin Air Filter
Haldex Service (w/ Pump)
Rear Diff Service
Front Diff Service
DSG Service (w/ Filter)
Liqui Moly 5W-40 Oil Change w/ Filter
New OEM Oil Cap
Tire Rotation
First Upgrade:
Alltrack Skid Plate Kit

Heck of an update, not just doubled up on MQBs but doubled on Rs no less! Any plans for the black car or keeping it stock?
Planning to keep it stock. The white R will get the upgrades.
February 1, 2024 - 113,472 miles (BLACK)
Gave the Black R its first mediocre wash at a self-serve bay. The TPMS light came on during my trip back to college. All tires were reading about 29 psi. Used my new LASFIT Air Pump to get them back to 35 psi.

Used some Liqui Moly Fuel System Cleaner today. Figured the fuel could use some cleaning as the car approaches 114k.
Side note: Learned Liqui Moly products are sold at AdvanceAuto.

ECS Tuning Resonator Delete Installed.
Removed PCV System.
Installed new PCV System and SkunkWerks Coil Grounding Kit.
Installed AliExpress Paddle Shifters.
FITCAMX and Uniden R7 Hardwired.
New Plate arrived.
Also installed EMD Auto Flush Spacers (10mm front and 17.5mm rear).

Reminds me that I've had a hardwire kit for my R3, and a dash cam sitting in a drawer for my GTI for the past year haha

It connects to the mirror wiring harness so it only records when the car is on. My white R has a Rexing Dash cam that has parking mode so it turns on when it detects motion. Installation was stupid easy for the FITCAMX since the A-pillar didn't need removed to tuck wiring. I ended up removing it to hardwire the Uniden R7 though LOL. Only downside for the FITCAMX is that it doesn't support a rear camera.
