MK7 GTI Differential

It is located between the transmission and the passenger side wheel only. It is connected to the open differential outer case via a rotating tube and the inner spider gear via a shaft.

This is why I asked in another thread if the diff will physically bolt into the normal GTI transmission. I got an answer that didn't take into account that the diff is an external unit so my question still stand.
