i moved my front passenger seat a couple of days ago then moved it back and now the error message has gone
i spoke to my local independant vw mechanics who said they have seen this before and it had turned out to be a connector under the seat which sometimes they have cut and soldered back together which has cured the problem
usually worse on 3 door cars for obvious reasons

Well I’ve found a new genuine left side belt for 30% the price of one from the stealerships so now it’s just finding someone competent enough to fit it!

& I’ve moved my seat back and forwards and no luck with that one. The harness under it is plugged in I believe although hard to get to
