How to launch MK7 GTI- Manual Transmission?

So I have a 2016 Golf GTI S - Manual Transmission. I have tried launching it multiple times but have failed to correctly launch the car without the excess power going anywhere. Even if I'm launching at 4-5k RPM, it would only spin for not even a second before traction control kicks in and breaks the power up. I have used VagCom to make sure I can press and hold the button to make the ESC Off. However, even with sports mode on, and ESC Off, I'm not able to launch the car as I have seen other people do on videos online.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a specific way to launch the car without minimal wheel spin, but at the same time, the RPM just doesn't go back to 1000 and the launch completely feels like I just slowly started the car. I tried launching the car with E-Brake up as well as just releasing the clutch without need of e-brake.

I don't want to keep doing it incorrectly and have issues with powertrain.

Any advice on how to launch it correctly?

Get better motor mounts or you'll break the dog bone. Also the clutch bleeder mod is a must have.

Leave at 4-5k like you've been doing but slip the clutch slightly for about 3/4-1 revolution of the tires. Then use throttle control thru first and second gear. If you go WOT it's gonna spin, esp if you're tuned.

Also, plan to replace the clutch. Launching your car will wear it out about 75% faster than waiting to get on it from a slow roll

You can't launch a FWD car with 4-5k rpm without spinning.
Start with about 2k and modulate throttle. This is key. Also
you'll inevitably burn your clutch.
Uprated engine mounts and tires will help, but it'll still spin,
just without the wheel hop.

I made about 300 passes at the track in the two years I owned my mk6. 4,000 rpm at about 5psi was its sweet spot. My mk7 has the same BFI mounts and almost identical hp/tq so it would be the same (if I could build boost like the standing rev limiter did)

Fwd is gonna spin a little, that's normal. Smoking the tires off and going straight to the rev limiter is another story. My best stage 2 mk6 pass was 2.0 60ft 13.3 ET 107.5 mph on conti DWS all seasons
