Help me figure out some gremlins.

Afternoon all, I decided it was time I stopped lurking here for help and made an account to ask for help of my own.

I own a 2011 GTI with 130K miles. For the past year or so, I've been getting increasingly more and more weird gremlins and issues with the electrics.

Last year in October, after taking it to be serviced at a local shop, the trunk latch would no longer open when the car was unlocked and it was pulled. It would have to be released through the keyfob. It worked when the car was running however.

I didn't think much of it, and just used the keyfob for a year. Now, in the past month, as I've been trying to fix it, I've had more and more issues.

As of today, the list of issues is as follow:
Right Turn Mirror Indicator No Longer Working (This started happening last week)
Intermittent Extended Crank and Car will often dip in RPMs when idling, almost sounding like it's about to stall. (I believe this to be a LPFP/R going bad, I looked into it a bit)

Inoperative Trunk Latch as said
Right Window will no longer go down on it's own. You have to hold the window down button. (Drivers Side Auto Down still works, as well as indicator)
Yesterday, the car battery was completely dead. I did not leave any lights on. The OBD11 was unplugged.

Engine Bay Fuses
Fuse 23 has blown multiple times, and today I checked and it seems Fuse 22 has blown as well. Fuse 16 was melted, so I replaced that and haven't had any issues.


I have an OBD11 and the codes I'm getting aren't getting me anywhere. I will attach two logs below, each taken on 9/1 and 9/7.

I haven't had the time to snoop the wires to look for shorts, since I'm still a student. Any help would be appreciated.

At a minimum it sounds like you need a new battery. You should be able to fix the auto window by holding the switch all the way down until the window is fully lowered, then all the way up, and repeating that 2-3 times.

Hey, sorry for the slow reply. I've gotten the battery tested multiple times by multiple different stores and they all say it's good. Firstly, the window issue has gotten worse. The Drivers Side Auto-Down only works when down, not when up. The Passenger side still does not work at all. One thing I noticed is if I lightly press the drivers side window switch (not enough to activate auto function) the window does not move at all, but if I push the switch inwards really hard and lightly press it, it moves as if I'm doing it manually. I suspect the switch is going bad. Still no clue about the trunk or the passenger window though. I ordered replacement mirror indicators so that might solve the issue.
