Exhaust and Jb4 on brand new car ?

Stupid question. I know. I’m buying a 7.5 gti in a week and I have a downpipe, catback (full system) and jb4 to put on the car. With the 1000km engine break in period, would I be stupid to put all these parts on straight away (even though i’d still be driving like a granny), or do I have to wait until the break in period is over.

Would you even know the tune was there if you're breaking it in properly? Personally I don't see the point, I would just wait on the jb4.

I would wait in the rare case of a bad from the start car.....More often than not issues show up quickly and I see no need to possibly loose wtty coverage from the start. Better safe than sorry....you already said you'll break it in nicely so why not give it time to show any issues.

Just curious why would anything break?

Defective or out of tolerance engines and turbos are rare, but they do exist. Also consider all the other little moving parts in the car, pumps, suspension, rattles, electronics. If you want any of that stuff looked at by the dealer you don't want to be tuned or have a downpipe installed.

I did my NPM at 800 miles and dp around 1100 miles. Well worth getting those two (piggy/dp) done sooner than later. Transforms the car IMO. Good luck.
