EPC and motor yellow lights

Sounds like you have a bad battery if you need to jump start it, and then have issues starting it later. The EPC light also functions as the battery light. If you hear the starter just clicking and not actually cranking the engine over then that is also a good sign you need a battery.

I originally thought it was cranking but now it seems like its just a clicking sound of all the electronics in the car turning on.

The headlights work and the dash lights up. It just doesn't turn on so I feel like I can rule battery out.

Ideas?

Just because the headlights come on and dash lights up doesn't mean you have enough for cold cranking, especially being in Chicago during the winter. My money is on you need a new battery. Post back an update when you find the issue.
