not im not sure if I should just go Stage1 and JB4 or just get the JB4 alone... :| I may be getting my hands on a cheap IS20 too.....

The only reason to get a tune and stack is for left foot braking and speed limiter removal. If you ask me $600+ for just those two features is a lot, and if I could do it over again right now I would save the $650 I spent and just go with the JB4 with IS20 alone.

I would give Burger some time to work it out as well. They said they are figuring out different things and adding them to firmware updates. I think the current one they are figuring out is CEL with downpipe

TwinDad, have you tried doing your 50-70 times entirely in 3rd gear? I just looked at my logs that I've been making over the last week with George and I'm seeing 2.5s if I just stay in 3rd.

EDIT: Nevermind, I looked at your old post and you had. Maybe try logging in JB4 instead of using a stopwatch. I did some math, and at 2.525 s, which is what I see in the JB4 logs, that's 0.354 g's, which after some math leaves me at 271.7 ftlbs of wheel torque. About right for an advertised 265 ftlbs. I hit 70 at 4134 rpm, so that's before where I have the extra JB4 boost kicking in, which means to me I think the time-stamps are pretty accurate.

Yeah I did. Seems very optimistic though. I had some in the 2's. I also couldn't quite figure out my rpms and mph either though. I'll have to look again. Go to Car and driver and look at the 50-70 times. Theirs are probably just flooring it and kicking down, but under 3 seconds puts you in with cars that are running in the 12's. A 335i did 3.4, SRT Grand Cherokee was 3.2

So after looking at my third gear pulls and the time stamp, based on 3.23 final drive and 1.56 third gear, I got 2.95 For 50-70

I'm guessing those test results from car and driver include a shift from 2nd to 3rd, as 50-70mph is a very common speed for the end of 2nd gear. Still, that crazy E888 torque and a super light car make for some damn fast acceleration!

So what I have for you is 50-70 is from ~3490 rpm to ~4885 rpm. 2.95s puts you at 0.309g's which is only 217ftlbs according to my calculations. Based off your log you had earlier, it seems your timing is really high earlier in the rev range. At 4000 rpm your timing is at 9.5 where as mine is only at 2, and your boost was only at 14.5 (you said 15.5 later) where mine is at it's peak of 20-21. It seems you are leaving a lot on the table early but going for more power later, as your boost at 6000rpm is 12ish which is as high as mine was (so much higher than my equivalent at sea level). I know you adjusted your low end boost since then, but it's still a few PSI lower than what mine would be at sea level. I'm guessing your car has as much peak power as mine right now, but a lot less torque. Though I bet the torque curve is crazy flat and your power later is as much as mine post JB4 stacking (I'm going on 3 extra PSI at 6000rpm!). Has George helped you with any of the tuning or are you just going at it alone? You've done better than I would have alone, and I bet George would have better advice than me.

I also had a chance to run a friends car. He has a 2013 Acura TL SH-AWD 6 spd manual. Based on Car and driver, it does a 13.8@101 in the 1/4 and 13.4 0-100. He was in front of me and we were on the phone talking. I told him to get on it when we had a wide open spot on the highway. He did and I got on it right behind him. He had the initial jump, but from 60-120 I gained about a car length on him. If we went from side by side I would have pulled on him. We also took off from a light first through second. He has a bad synchro so he says he can only go 3/4 throttle in first. I hung even with him despite my wheel spin and pulled a little bit through second. Maybe half a car. He says it was because of him not being able to floor it all the way. I think my wheelspin would be a fair offset. He has intake, throttle body spacer, and a catback on it too.

If you are getting timing corrections, then it's not conservative. What is your max timing that you are hitting on Ign1 at 6,500?

Trying to decide if I should go 1 or 4. 1 is cheaper and easier to acquire used. I don't feel the need to do tons of tweaking (at the moment) and don't have plans to do an IS20 (yet). I'd say there's a 20% chance of a turbo swap and a 50% chance of a DP swap. I want something that will give me a healthy increase in power with high reliability. I love the idea of the JB4 app and I'd like to have the ability to switch to map 0 for long 87oct trips. Suggestions?

The fact that those percentages aren't zero means they will steadily increase until they eventually hit 100. I would go jb4.
