Revived. On the Bartek sandwich plate...does the oil spill everywhere when you remove the filter? I believe there is a 180 and 210 thermostat choice?

yes. the adapter keeps the relief valve pressed down. the thermostat is 80C.

The racing line kit is a BP style oil spill every time I do an oil change. Sad to hear the bar one is the same. 
I was hoping they'd have a beveled edge or a retaining area to allow for some retention.
I guess the best option might be to just do a filter relocation kit to an area where the oil pan can catch things...
