Oh so that's what happened with you. I'll have to check the build date of mine as now I'm curious if that's my case. But I will definitely look into Simostools.
Unlikely your issue, the problem for me wasn't apparent until the fuel upgrade because the boost level was now higher and I think prior the boost request wasn't high enough to trigger the protection. I would have full power until about 5500RPMs when the protection would kick in, the wastegate would open and kill the fun, then it would immediately close and try to recover and throw an underboost p2099 code. It was a protection strategy that was phased out by VW/Audi with the next generation of ECU. I believe it was to prevent overspinning the turbo. Doesn't sound like what your experiencing, but if you have any DTCs that would be the first indicator.
