Can’t believe it’s been almost three years.

Today I said goodbye to the GTI. Returned back to stock and traded it against an S3 Sportback.

I would... but they wouldn’t let me take it home due to some issue with registration and tax. Waiting for some data from Germany.

Currently driving an A5 until they sort it out !!

I’ve decided to search for another GTI again as I missed my MK7. Digging through forums and found this old thread ! Good to read about the good old days
Looking for a 7.5 performance in white or a Pure Grey TCR for a decent price.

Anyone want to swap for a BMW ?

I only held onto the S3 for like 9 months.

Of course I put coilovers and wheels on it, then used the same kit off the MK7 and bagged it.
But it was just too thirsty and was costing a fortune to run. Didn’t have any spare cash to modify it as much as I would have liked, so I lost money on it and traded it in for a TDI B9 A4 Avant, which got the same treatment as usual, OEM+ Bags wheels etc .. got the itch for a hot hatch again as the 2.0 diesel was boring aF to drive.
Ended up with an F56 Mini John Cooper Works for a year or so during the whole pandemic / lockdowns, one of the most fun cars ever to drive and it had the factory fitted Bluetooth valved JCW pro exhaust that popped and banged, slapped some BC coilovers and OZ Racing wheels on it and loved every minute.
Lockdowns eased up and I wanted to do some road trips with the family and the Mini just wasn’t practical enough, hence the change to the F30 330e plug in hybrid that had a decent sized trunk and space for 4 people to travel comfortably.

And that’s me all caught up
