AliExpress TIP, positive review $38

Hey guys,

Considering all the really expensive parts we can buy for our wonderful german machines, I wanted to share my positive experience with this extremely affordable upgrade that has given me pretty real gains for the cost of an Olive Garden date for two.

One way or another I found this turbo inlet pipe on AliExpress for $28:

With shipping it cost me $38 total. Arrived in 12 or 13 days. The external welds and paint were solid, but not going to lie, the internal surfaces were pretty rough. 5 minutes with a dremel it was smooth as a babies ass, and a couple squirts of black caliper paint the interior was coated.

Install took me 10 minutes and I don't have the balls to do an intercooler install, I mean to say I'm not very mechanically confident on this vehicle.

Results...I really feel the car is much more eager to build boost and revs. Maybe one of the hose connections before wasn't secure. I spent some time to make sure the hoses and connections were well seated.

So for the MQB platform where we usually spend $100's or $1000's for a mod, I spent $38 and got results. Hope this helps someone!

Link should work now. Lately I was feeling the car was kinda dragging ass and feeling sluggish, now the car feels like it wants to jump to 3k and roll from there. Just more lively. For the record I have a KN drop in and removed the snow guard as well.
